iCYCU Privacy Policy

This policy explains how iCYCU handles your information.

1. App Identity

iCYCU is an unofficial app designed by Vincent Chiang. It is not an official CYCU product and is not operated by Chung Yuan Christian University.

2. Information We Handle

• Account credentials you enter: student ID and password for CYCU systems.
• Academic and campus data: timetable, grades, announcements, iLearning content returned by CYCU services after login.
• App settings: reminder settings, feature preferences, and local cache.
• Optional permissions: calendar write access (if you add events), notifications (if you enable reminders).

3. How Data Is Used

• Authenticate to CYCU-related systems on your behalf.
• Display your academic/campus information inside the app.
• Store credentials securely in iOS Keychain for sign-in convenience.
• Create local reminders/notifications if you enable them.

4. Data Sharing

• CYCU/iLearning services: required to fetch your requested school data.
• Weather API provider: used to display weather forecast data.
• No ad network tracking: iCYCU does not use third-party ad SDK tracking.

5. Storage and Retention

• Credentials are stored on-device using iOS Keychain until you log out.
• Cached app data may remain on-device until app logout, reset, or uninstall.

6. Your Choices

• You can log out to remove locally stored credentials.
• You can disable calendar/notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
• You can uninstall iCYCU to remove local app data from your device.
